Cody Gomora joined Arlington Criminal Attorneys in May 2024. He is licensed by the State Bar of Texas and the Northern District of Texas. Before becoming an attorney, he served as an Arlington police officer, working as an academy instructor and use-of-force reporting specialist, and was nominated for Rookie of the Year. As part of Arlington’s Entertainment District and Tourism Unit, he handled a range of felony and misdemeanor cases. He later worked as a Tarrant County prosecutor and at an AmLaw 100 firm before returning to criminal defense.

Cody Gomora’s legal practice is informed by real‑world experience in law enforcement and prosecution. Before earning his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2016, he served as an Arlington police officer, where he was nominated for Rookie of the Year, trained new recruits, and taught at the police academy. After law school, he prosecuted cases in Tarrant County and later practiced at a nationally recognized Am Law 100 firm, gaining broad litigation experience. Today, Cody represents clients in all types of criminal matters at Arlington Criminal Attorneys. Licensed in Texas and admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, he draws on his background as a police officer and prosecutor to anticipate how the state builds its case and to develop defense strategies grounded in practical realities. Raised in North Texas, he values clear communication and stands beside his clients at every stage of the legal process.
