Christina Contreras was raised in the Rio Grande Valley, just minutes from the Texas – Mexico border. Growing up, she witnessed many of her peers face injustices due to their lack of legal status. Her commitment to immigrant rights began early, after observing neighbors being exploited by employers.
While attending Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth, Christina developed a deeper understanding of the flaws within the U.S. immigration system. She recognized how difficult it is for immigrants to navigate such a complex process, one that even many attorneys find challenging, especially when facing the federal government without legal representation.
A dedicated advocate by nature, Christina has focused much of her legal career on defending and empowering vulnerable members of the immigrant community. She is passionate about helping clients secure legal status in the United States and build lives free from fear. Christina approaches each case with courage and determination, particularly those that present difficult or unconventional challenges.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading science fiction, solving puzzles, taking walks, and watching comedy.
